Once your subscription is activated, each month, your subscription will produce solar energy, measured in kilowatt-hours (kWh). The supply section of your electric utility bill will be credited for what your subscription produced that month. Solar Simplified offers consolidated billing, meaning they are able to charge you for those solar credits right on your electric bill,\u00a0 but with a <\/span><b>50% discount applied<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">. So, rather than paying your electric utility for that clean energy you are paying Solar Simplified, at a discounted rate.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Example: Say you are currently paying your electric utility 10 cents\/kWh. Through Solar Simplified community solar, you will be paying 5 cents\/kWh (50% discount on the supply) for any electricity produced by the farm.<\/span><\/i><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Your subscription size is designed to provide credits for your full electricity usage for the year, though there will be changes in your subscription\u2019s energy production from month to month. For example, your subscription will produce less in winter, but more in summer, and your credits from the summer will rollover to help cover your electricity usage in winter.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong>What about alternative suppliers?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>All customers, regardless of their alternative electricity supplier, can now receive solar bill credits as part of a community solar program. When that is depends on when your subscribed community solar project is\u00a0interconnected to the utility grid.<\/p>\n<p>You can find the month the company expects your subscription to go live in the\u00a0\u201cSubscription Specifications\u201d section of the Standard Disclosure Form provided to you (if\u00a0you weren\u2019t provided a Standard Disclosure Form, that\u2019s a problem \u2013 see the questions and\u00a0concerns section below).<\/p>\n<p><strong>What happens if I move?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>If you move within your current utility territory, you can take your community solar subscription with you. If you move outside of the utility territory, you can either cancel or assign your subscription to someone else.<\/p>\n<p>Solar Simplified does not charge a cancellation fee, and you must give 90 days written notice. In those 90 days, Solar Simplified will still bill you for the solar produced by your subscription, and you will still receive utility bill credits if your account is still active. <em>(Note: CUB is confirming this information with the company)\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n<p><strong>Can I sign up for Solar Simplified\u2019s offer and a real-time pricing program?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Yes, you can participate in Solar Simplified\u2019s community solar program alongside Ameren\u2019s Power Smart Pricing plan.<\/p>\n<p><strong>How do I sign up?<\/strong><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">To sign up for Solar Simplified\u2019s community solar offer, <\/span><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.solarsimplified.com\/\">visit their website<\/a><\/strong><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">.
