4:00 p.m. \u2013 6:00 p.m., Thursday, Oct. 2, Homeowner Energy-Saving Workshop (in-person)
\n<\/strong>Join the Citizens Utility Board (CUB) at Chicago Ald. Gil Villegas’s office (6560 W. Fullerton Ave, Unit #C118 \u2013 Suite A, Chicago, IL 60707) to learn about your energy choices and ways to save money on your utility bills. This free event is designed to help homeowners reduce their utility bills by sharing practical energy-saving strategies.<\/span><\/p>\n

11:00 a.m. \u2013 3:00 p.m., Saturday, Oct. 4, Woodland National Hispanic Heritage Month Celebration (in-person)<\/strong>
\n<\/b>Join CUB at the Woodland National Hispanic Heritage Month Celebration at Woodland Middle School (7000 W. Washington St., Cafeteria A, Gurnee, IL 60031). The event will provide an opportunity for Woodland Middle School families (K-8th grade) to celebrate, and will feature musical groups, artwork from students, decorated tables from different countries, and crafts for the kids.<\/span><\/p>\n

2:00 p.m. \u2013 6:00 p.m., Wednesday, Oct. 8, Two services, One Location, One Day – DeKalb (in-person)
\n<\/strong>Join CUB and iCash at the DeKalb Township (2323 South 4th St., DeKalb, IL 60115) for a free event to learn more about utility bills as well as unclaimed property. CUB will be offering free utility bill analysis to attendees, while iCash will be educating people about collecting unpaid funds. No registration required. Questions? Each participant will speak one-on-one with a CUB counselor to review their bills. <\/span>While some walk-in spots may be available, it is best to register in advance with the front desk or by calling 1-847-588-8420.<\/strong><\/p>\n

12:00 p.m. \u2013 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, Oct. 15, Sterling Utility Bill Clinic (in-person)<\/strong>
\n<\/b>Join CUB and state Rep. Bradley J. Fritts at the Sterling Public Library (102 W. 3rd St., Sterling, IL 61081) for a free event to provide suggestions on how to reduce your utility bills and tap into money-saving, clean energy programs. Each participant will speak one-on-one with a CUB counselor to review their bills. Appointments will be required for one-on-one consultations, please register by calling 1-331-465-9661. Walk-ins are available from 12:00 p.m. \u2013 2:00 p.m. on a first come, first served basis along with general resources and information.\u00a0<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

Presenters will discuss how to save money on your utility bills. We will discuss affordable and energy efficient ways to weatherize your home.
