Also, the 50 percent reduction in the fixed-cost customer charge is a very positive\u00a0development.<\/p>\n<p>While several measures in the bill reflect productive discussions with the Illinois Clean Jobs Coalition and others, there is still significant work to be done relating to consumer protections, the role of Ameren, ensuring that there is a full and functional Renewable Portfolio Standard, and giving customers the tools to better manage their energy\u00a0use.<\/p>\n<p>Again, this is a step forward, but we\u2019re not there yet.
